Bain Capital and Virgin Voyages tapped The Buddy Group to set sail on telling the story of its newly christened flagship vessel, The Scarlet Lady. Originally, this work focused on a livestream of the ship’s docking in New York Harbor. COVID-19 changed that, and in just six days, TBG worked closely with Virgin to recalibrate shot locations and an approach that could retrofit luxury travel marketing amid a pandemic. In adjusting course, TBG oversaw shoots in Miami and Bimini, The Bahamas, to cinematically showcase the ship’s grandeur while foreshadowing health-safe travel in the post-COVID era.
